Set up your Nanabase account and start managing your professional contacts in under 5 minutes.

Getting Started#

Welcome to Nanabase! This guide will help you set up your account and start managing your professional contacts.

Step 1: Create Your Account#

  1. Go to app.nanabase.co
  2. Enter your work email address
  3. Click Continue with Email
  4. Check your inbox for a magic link (no password needed!)
  5. Click the link to sign in

We use passwordless authentication for security. Each time you sign in, you'll receive a fresh magic link valid for 15 minutes.

Step 2: Complete Your Profile#

After signing in for the first time, you'll be prompted to complete your profile:

  • Full Name — How you'll appear to colleagues
  • Job Title — Your current role
  • Phone (optional) — For your profile

This information helps colleagues find and recognize you.

Step 3: Choose Your Path#

You have two options:

Option A: Join an Existing Company#

If your company already uses Nanabase:

  1. Click Join a Company
  2. Enter your company's workspace URL (e.g., acme.nanabase.co)
  3. Request to join
  4. Wait for an admin to approve your request

Option B: Create a New Company#

If you're the first from your company:

  1. Click Create a Company
  2. Enter your company name
  3. Choose a workspace URL (e.g., acme.nanabase.co)
  4. You'll automatically become the Owner

Choose a short, memorable workspace URL. This is how your team will access Nanabase.

Step 4: Add Your First Contacts#

Now let's add some contacts. You have several options:

Add Manually#

  1. Click + Add Contact in the top right
  2. Fill in the contact details
  3. Choose visibility:
    • Private — Only you can see this contact
    • Shared — Visible to your company
  4. Click Save

Import from CSV#

Have contacts in a spreadsheet? Import them in bulk:

  1. Go to Settings → Import
  2. Upload your CSV file
  3. Map columns to contact fields
  4. Preview and confirm
  5. Import completes automatically

Step 5: Explore Your Workspace#

Your Private Contacts#

Visit My Contacts to see your personal contact vault. These contacts:

  • Are visible only to you
  • Follow you if you change companies
  • Can be shared with your company anytime

Company Directory#

Visit Directory to see all shared contacts in your company:

  • Search across all departments
  • See who added each contact
  • Request introductions through colleagues

Team Members#

Visit Team to see your colleagues:

  • Find people in your organization
  • See who knows whom
  • Discover connection paths
